How to Convert RAW to JPG Online?

Develop your digital negatives instantly. Convert uncompressed RAW photos from any camera brand into high-quality JPGs ready for sharing.

1

Select RAW Files

Upload photos from your camera. We support Canon (CR2/CR3), Nikon (NEF), Sony (ARW), Fujifilm (RAF), and many others.

2

Choose Quality

Adjust the compression level. Use 100% to keep maximum detail for editing, or 80% for a balanced file size for social media.

3

Develop & Download

Our engine processes the sensor data and renders a beautiful JPG. Download your developed photos individually or as a ZIP.

Pro Tip: The "Digital Negative"

RAW files look flat and dull because they haven't had contrast or saturation applied. Our converter applies a standard curve profile to make your JPGs look vibrant and natural, just like the preview on your camera screen.

Engineering Philosophy

From Sensor Data to
Visual Reality.

RAW files aren't just images; they are unprocessed sensor readings—pure data that your camera captured. Converting them to JPG isn't simple format switching; it's a process called Demosaicing.

Our RiseConvert Engine uses a professional-grade Bayer Interpolation Algorithm to interpret this data. We map the red, green, and blue values from your camera's sensor mosaic into the coherent, vibrant colors you see in the final image, effectively developing the "digital negative" in real-time.

We built this tool to handle the massive data loads of modern 40MP+ cameras without crashing your browser. By utilizing WebAssembly (Wasm) optimized modules, we parse CR2, NEF, and ARW files with native-app speed directly in the cloud sandbox.

Why Convert RAW to JPG?

Professional photographers shoot in RAW to capture every bit of light data the sensor sees. However, these files are massive (often 30MB+) and require specialized software like Lightroom or Photoshop to open. You can't just upload a CR2 or NEF file to Instagram or send it via WhatsApp.

Converting to JPG is essential for workflow speed and compatibility. It turns that heavy data file into a universal image format that can be viewed on any phone, tablet, or web browser instantly.

Photographer's Glossary

Demosaicing

The process of reconstructing a full-color image from the incomplete color samples output by an image sensor overlaid with a color filter array.

Sidecar File

A separate file (often .xmp) that stores edit settings for a RAW file. Our converter ignores these and develops the base RAW data.

Bit Depth

RAW files are usually 12 or 14-bit, holding trillions of colors. JPG is 8-bit, holding millions. We handle this downsampling smoothly.

Lossy Compression

The method JPG uses to reduce file size by discarding some visual data that the human eye is less likely to notice.

Common Issues

Colors Look Different?

RAW files don't have a "look" until processed. The JPG you see on your camera screen is a processed preview. Our converter applies its own standard processing, so it may look slightly different from your camera's internal JPEG engine.

Best Practice

Always keep your original RAW files as a backup ("negatives") and only use the converted JPGs for sharing or web use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this converter reduce image quality?
It depends on your settings. RAW files have infinite editability, while JPGs are 'baked'. However, if you choose 100% quality, we produce a JPG that looks visually identical to the developed RAW file, retaining full resolution.
Why does the JPG look slightly different from my camera preview?
The preview on your camera is a JPG processed by the camera manufacturer's specific color science. Our engine uses a standard, neutral color profile to develop the RAW data, ensuring a clean and natural starting point.
Is it safe to upload my professional work?
Absolutely. We respect copyright and privacy. Your photos are processed in isolated secure containers and are deleted immediately after the session expires (2 hours max). We claim no rights to any images you process.
Can I convert multiple files at once?
Yes, you can batch convert up to 5 RAW files simultaneously. This is perfect for quickly processing a small set of selects.
What happens to the EXIF data?
We attempt to preserve standard EXIF data (Camera Model, ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture) in the output JPG, so you still have your technical details.
